Tom Kirkland Jr. is an Independent Licensed Optician (Contact Lens Certified) who owns and operates Tom Kirkland Opticians on 8th Street in downtown Richmond, VA. Having been taught through the "old school," Tom learned the art of Opticianry "hands-on" apprenticing under John Titmus and Les Harrup in Colonial Heights before taking his boards to become licensed in 1978. With a dream to meet the community’s eyewear needs, Tom sought to bring the hottest selection of designer eyewear and top-quality spectacle lens products to Richmond.
